Thank you for visiting
Brown Intermediate School's website. The faculty and staff strive to
have each child's mind and heart in their best interest. We do
believe that it is our mission to provide a nurturing & safe environment
that stresses achievement, teaches responsibility, develops leadership,
accepts diversity, and provides a quality education that will help the
students as they progress through school to eventually become responsible,
successful citizens.
Every classroom is equipped with modern technology using a Promethean
Board, an ELMO document camera, and at least 4 computers. Additionally
each classroom contains up-to-date textbooks and various manipulatives
which are needed to best prepare children for the future. A computer lab
with 25 computers and a Smart Board is also available to each student
twice weekly.
We also teach character through peer mediation,
Character Counts, and guidance sessions. We have partnered with the
Kiwanis Club to offer a TERRIFIC Kids program where we equip students with
the 3 Rs- being ready, responsible, and respectful. As one can see, our goal is
to provide the "total" education for every student.
